Another new year...
Still feels like the old one...
Lets see... what did I do new years eve?
First I was going to go to this trendy little cigar/martini/coffee place downtown known as the vagabond... despite my normal aversions to coffee places, I find myself liking this one. Its has a nice cozy atmosphere for reading, and since its open later than usual, its nice and devoid of little kids or pretentious bullshitting types (but for how much longer you ask? Time will tell) Ricki Dee gave me a call on the way up. So along with me he went.
When I got to the vagabond, I discovered that one of my high school friends Emily was working there, which was a pleasant surprise. I havnt seen her in several months... After chatting it up with her, Rick and I left for Jed's annual party thing... which was nice despite the two spoilers who were there... and also having to babysit Rick's drunken ass... Rick is a great guy and very intellegent/interesting to talk to when he is sober... but when he's drunk, he becomes this annoying ass who wont shut up... It does come in useful sometimes mind you that, but it does become tedious to have to watch over him, make sure he doesnt do anything too stupid... Apparantly, he has some sort of drinking problem... unless he's drunk, he cannot go out in social circles... and he understands and seems to be comfortable with it... eh, whatever makes him happy...
Also, finaly got a chance to invite my cousin to the spooky night over at Marcu's bar. It was nice, sorta like introducing one family to the other...
As for this new year...
Plans- 1st thing is that I need a new wardrobe. All of my old cloaths dont seem to fit so well any more. Plus, well, I feel as if my current wardrobe is just not an accurate representation of who I am anymore. I need a new image....
Just last week I went cloaths shopping... got some new dressy shirts and a new blazer... And it looks pretty damned good too if I do say so myself. Also ended up taking advantage of B Dalton's east side going out of business evacuation... ending up walking out with 250.00 worth of books for only 99.99... not too shabby...
Also, I think I will go to Washington DC this spring. Ive got almost 2 weeks of vacation earned, and I figure that I might as well use it to go somewhere interesting. I believe every citizen should visit their capital at least once in their lifetime, just so that they know where all the big decisions are made, etc. Also, they got some nice places to visit, such as the national archives, the mall, arlington cemetary, the smithsonian, the capitol building, the white house, the library of congress, etc. Also, Philiadelphia isnt that far away either... maybe I might stop by there too if I have time...
Looks like my mom pulled another bait and switch on me again. For weeks, I had to tell her, several times, that I was going to move into my grandmother's old house and not this house in mexican-ville... now, she is "conviently" selling grandmother's house, so now I have the other left. Its not a bad house really... built in 1910, 2 story, semi-furnished, 4 bedrooms, only like700-800 a month... its just the neighborhood I disagree with... Crime and gang problems are a bit high in the barrio... that, and my mother's pursuasion techniques... I may be talking to her again, but that doesnt mean that I trust her...
Oh yeah, aside from the albums of 2003, here are some of the more memorable purchesses I made that year:
Smashing Pumpkins- Machina: The Machines of God
Beastie Boys- Paul's Boutique
Sow- Sick
Wumpscut- Wreath of Barbs
Juno Reactor- Transmissiosn
Ladytron- Light and Magic
Curve- Come Clean, Cukoo
The Damned- Phantasmgoria
The Raveonettes- Whip it on
Orbital-2
Public Enemy- 20th Century Masters Edition
Wojeck Killar- Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Ultimate Video GWARchive
Sonic Youth- Goo
Pulp- We Love Life
David Bowie- Outside
Joy Divison- Substance
The Ramones- Brain Drain
once again, and you?

My new years was nothing special, just the usual abuse of controlled substances and dissonant music.

Crashing Jed and Christina's party
But what do I know?
I'm just a coward who posts "freinds" [sic] only, but never censors her comments.
Post away publicly, but never let people have the opportunity to respond publicly.
You are a loser who can't spell.
Oh, and Jenn thinks you're unbelievably creepy.
P.S. I love reading your journal, so does the WPD.
Re: Crashing Jed and Christina's party
#2. You dont alow me to post my defenses publicly when you call me a dilusional nazi on your list, and you have friends only responses on your journal, so why should I allow you the same courtesy? At least I grant you audience. Doesnt mean I have to make it public. Some people actualy have the courage to keep their disputes private.
#3 What the hell does spelling have to do with anything? Maybe Im not analy retentive enough to bother checking. And you are desperatly reaching to critisize someone for spelling...
#4 Who the hell is Jenn?
#5 You are bluffing.
