Movie Rejects...

dustinprewittJust saw devil's rejects.... Not entirely sure what to make of it yet.... at first, my hopes were kinda high to see Capn' Spaulding again.... but as the movie wore on.... sure, it was cool to hear all the groucho marx references, and it was interesting to see the voice of Powerpuff Girl Buttcup play a whore, and I did like the parts where the cop was finaly visiting revenge on those trashy spree killers...
BUT....
House of 1000 Corpses.... sure, it didnt have any substance, but at least it had style... Devils Rejects... has neither substance nor style... it reminded me of just about everything I hate about the 70s.... deserts, biker trash, Lynnard Skynnard, Sherrifs, trashy whores, country music, etc... The Spree Killer family is not likeable in the very least... towards the end, I was actualy glad to see them get theirs.... Then Rob had to go and turn it all around and make it seem like the killers were THE GOOD GUYS, and that you were supposed to root for them or feel sorry for them, or something.... actualy, come to think about it, not one character in the entire movie has any redeeming value to them whatsoever.... Zombie trys to make us feel sorry for the Capn' and his gang, but goddamn, they're all crazy sadistic killers who look, act, and think like inbred flea-infested white trash... why the hell should we? They should have all been burned alive at the end....
Not that it was an entire waste of time.... but still, I found it so.... bland and anticlimatic.... but thats just me.... Im sure every biker-bar in the theatre loved it....
Lately, Ive been watching Futurerama... at 1st, it took me a while to warm up to it.... but after watching enough... It began to remind me of all the weirdness that was in The Simpsons before it got all topical and preachy and tired... sure, Futureama has its soapbox moments, and some episodes that are kinda bleh... but not enough to be distracting from the humour.... and believe it or not, the writing is actualy pretty damn good too.... then of course there are the characters... I just LOVE Bender, Dr. Zoyburg, and the Professor....
Still getting nibbled to death by ducks at work, over getting to Lenexa... at latest report, all I had to do was turn in my internal application to HR, then they would forward it to Lenexa's HR, then maybe something would happen... but then again, my floor coach also needs to turn in HIS review of me, and the HR person responsible for the process on Wichita's end just left for a week vacation.... by this rate.... Im thinking of being there just in time for christmas.... next year....
Just being sarcasticaly frustrated... realisticly speaking, Im hoping by september or october.... I should probably start scouting the area, looking for a place to live, and also just finding out where the hell the call center is at in lenexa....
I remember seeing these news stories... on "real" newstations, about how "bloggs" are the new source for news and journalistic reporting.... which is the one of the most rediculous bullshit things Ive ever heard in my life... sure, you can read about opinions on current events, and get links to real news sources.... But bloggs as journalistic reporting? Just read This and then you realize the quality, reliability, accuracy, and professionalism of online journalism for news.... I swear, its almost as bad as FOX.... or the 700 Club's CBN news....
ah yes, and one more thing... read WANTED by Mark Millar and find out just exactly WHO is controlling society, and why your life sucks so much
