Birthday Blues, pt.2
Anyway later that night, dad called me up and invited me over for some pizza... so I headed over there a bit to have dinner with him and my sister while watching seinfield... of course, I had to endure him elbowing me about how I need to get a checking account, but I would say it was still worth it... after words, I went to go see Sky Captain and the World of Tomarrow, which was Brilliant- beautifully noirish, with a wonderful Art Deco feel- right out of the old Flash Gorden and Buck Rodgers films of the 20s and 30s... at first, the soft blur and close ups were kinda headachy, but it wasnt too difficult to become adjusted to... great old-fashioned plot, very clever moments, and with a cheesiness that wasnt too over the top.... simply put- a fun, well crafted unique movie... perhaps not for its current time, but Im not sure if its ahead or behind its time....
Ah, there's the old September weather Ive come to know and love... nice and cool- not too hot, not too cold... that, and I can actualy enjoy the sunsets coming home from work again without going blind... beautifully red/orange... slowly going dark... sigh.... it truely is too short a season...
Mom has been really harping for me to go back to school... Specificly in Emporia... which isnt really that bad an idea, considering that its the closest college with a librarianship program, but then again, it would mean moving again, find a new job... AGAIN... find a new living quarters... AGAIN... blah.... with the crap I had to put up with getting re-situated after moving back to Wichita, I really dont like rocking the boat too much... that, and Id rather not invest any more money into school until I increase/recover my capitol a bit more (and I still hate sinking money into college- so far everything Ive learned in college I could have learned for free on my own time)... but then again... there really isnt much keeping me here in Wichita to think of...
Blah... I need to excersize more...
or wait, yes... I NEED A ROUTINE! A nice steady rut to give me some sense of security....
Mondays and Saturdays, I think Ill go to the vagabond... 9ish, like clockwork, sit in the exact same place, and read.... till about midnightish or so... yeah, thats the ticket... unless someone has something more interesting to do....
Im thinking Ill go there tonight... I need to get out, into the fresh air... besides, things dont usualy start happening until you step outside...
