its MY fucking birthday...

Last saturday- took a trip up north to KC to visit![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
deadmslollypop - there was also a industrial club night going on that night on coincidence, being run by langenoir group... I expected a large turnout, but I think it ended up being about the same amount of people that would usualy show up to a wichita show... the sound wasnt perfect, and the place smelled like a full catlitter box, but shit goddamn, it was still fun! Got to meet some new and reletevly famous people, saw necrotica again, watched this person living in a loft above the hall have a telephone fight, and there was this homeless person selling TV trays that just wouldnt leave us alone (which was as fun as it was annoying)... sigh, I miss being able to go to a neo-gothic club night thing and not have to put up with the tension and animosity... but hey, at least I know Wichita isnt the only city that has problems with group participation... Went for a bit of a walk after that, then a drive with cassie through the KC... Which I thought of as surprisingly small (and yes, I AM talking about KC MO)... sure it was big, but it kinda reminded me of a taller Wichita, with better archetecture... MUCH better archetecture... then again I really didnt see that much of the city, so Im probably wrong... but still, nice place, but I dont think I want to live there... yet....
Went back to cassie's, then being too tired to take a drive home, went to bed in the backseat of the car... it was comfortable enough, but surprisingly cold... in the morning, I woke up to this... for the next 30 mins or so, I sat there, trying to ascertain the cause of death, like a city coroner... cause of death appearantly was a slashed throught... couldnt have been stepped on- the cut was too clean... couldnt have been an animal/predatorial attack- it would have been a bloody mess and most of it would have been eaten... Chalk that one under the mysteries of mankind I suppose...
Sunday and Monday I really did not do much... too busy with the birthday blues... 23, not really having as much as I would have liked to show for it... most people my age are having kids, have some sort of degree... Me, people are disappearing around me left and right... Sunday I made a surprise stop in Emporia on the way home to see my friend Ashley, who I havnt seen in over a year... she wasnt home... Im considering maybe taking up a new hobby... Im thinking about either fencing or the accordian... yes, Im sure it will just become one of those hobbies I pick up for a month or so, then drop it once the novelty wears off... but eh, who's to say where these things might lead....
And today... Mom picked me up... went to the old warehouse, picked through some things for some furnature, ate lunch at the old mill, then went book browsing... got some great photo albums, plus found a great condition copy of an old Dinosaur book I had in the 3rd grade... Went to borders, then best buy to get the first season of Home Movies on DVD... too bad the release date was suddenly switched to November, even though Amazon listed it as today... blah... also picked up The Dresden Dolls and of course, the Marilyn Manson best of CD/DVD set... it was great to finaly have a DVD collection of the videos (downloads+CD burners now make 'best of' collections obsolete), But I was pissed off in that it wasnt quite complete- It was missing the videos for Tainted Love, sAINT, and Personal Jesus... but eh, just as well I suppose...
Sister called me to wish me a happy birthday... no one else so far, that was about it... Im not disappointed- I cant expect too many people to remember the birthday, being the recluse that I am... (and thanks to everyone online who have issued birthday well-wishings... THEY ARE APPRECIATED :)______) I still dont know if I should have a party... I do not wish to be disappointed when no one comes by... then again, not every day is my birthday, and I should probably do something since no one else is going to do anything for me... tell you what::
if enough people express an interest in a party type thing, Ill have one, if not, then Ill just go to see Sky Captain+Pulp Fiction at the warren saturday night... sound fair enough...

By the way, happy birthday! I've been so busy catchin' up on things that I havn't really had a lot of time for online/phone interaction.
I had a great time Saturday night. Next time, I'll come up to Witchita and you can get me lost in Wichita instead, hmm?!
