Anyway, here's one of my fun adventures to add some real substance to this entry...
Woke up wednsday morning, went to my car to go to work. The car would not start. The goddamned battery was dead. No jumpers, no spare, no one to call. Plus, there was a tow sticker on the car. Apparantly I accidentaly parked in the wrong spot, the one just off of mine. Apparntly the punjabs in this place cannot appreciate that sometimes mistakes happen, and that they could have just parked in my spot... then again, how were they to know where my spot was, let alone if I even had a spot? Anyway...
With no one to bum a ride from, I had to hoof it to work that morning. A little windy, but it was a pleasant stroll. The excercise did me good. Ended up arriving at work a little late. Plus, that morning my sinuses decided to attack me, which meant breathing and talking was a pain all day.
During lunch, I managed to get Val to stop by and help with a jump. Too bad the jump did not work. So after a few tries I cut my losses, grabbed a bite to eat, then returned to work. After work, Tim gave me a ride home, I called up my dad, he came by with a loaner battery, installed it, and now the car is working again. Now this weekend, Ill have to buy a new one. Its just as well I suppose, Ive been needing a new headlight for the longest time anyway... if I need to put in a new battery I might as well get that headlight in there...
Oh yes, phase 1 (research and development) and 2 (securing the necessary time) have been completing in my Washington DC vacation project. Next phase, securing transport too and from as well as securing funds will be completed tomarrow morning after a trip to the bank and the local airport. This is going to be my first major vacation, alone no less. I am definitly excited and somewhat nervous... it will give me something to do, somewhere to go, and something to write about... which is always nice :-)
It would be nice if I had someone to go with though, but on the other hand, it might also be a drag- having someone tag along... guess we'll never know, will we? (at least not just yet...)
