Tis The Season...

Monday night I was going to just go home, being that I really didnt have any money, and I was kinda tired at the end of the day... On my way out, I was stopped by one of the teammates, asking me if I was going to the "party"... one of the co-workers was haivng a birthday party thing at a local bar... I knew something like that was coming up, but I wasnt completely aware of all the details... since I didnt have much money, but on the other hand, I didnt want to seem stand-offish or anything... I told them Id have to think on it.... also on the way out, I ran into Shayde on my way out the door, needing a ride to the Apocalypse Theatre and High Blue Star... A show that I was really wanting to go to anyway, had I actualy the money for it... but since both Shayde and the person who was originaly going to provide the ride, Paul, were willing to help with gas and cover, I decided to go for it... and yes, I did feel guilty about somewhat ditching the co-workers... but I did have a little bit more notice about the show than their night out, and its not like I gave them a definitve answer to their question....

Anyway... ended up getting there... it was a bit of a moderatly filled place... not quite packed but not quite empty either... and so many people... I still have such phobias about people... Im always afraid that Im going to offend them, that Ill not have anything to converse about, that Im going to "creep them out" but just quitely lingering around people I dont know that well... Its stressful, it is... but the show was good... the first act I didnt care much for at all... basicly 3 guys that looked right out of high school... getting a little too into the music... and the guitars and keyboard were off tempo with the drum machine... but they were still having fun, so it wasnt too intolerable... High Blue Star was awesome... just a low key, electronic type act with a hot female lead... Apocalypse Theatre... which from what I understand is a big local favorite in Northeastern Kansas goth/industrial scene, totaly RAWKED... there was this great song about being goth in kansas... and they did this cover of that New Orleans song by Concrete Blonde (which Im slowing starting to get into)... all in all an enjoyable evening.... and I even did have a few comfortable conversations as well too... see? I AM slowly getting out of my shell/phobia.... I just need to relax a bit is all...

Today... had to go out... last weekend, I found out at work that the team christmas lunch and secret santa was this friday... ONLY THIS FRIDAY... and me, without that much money to spend... DAMNIT.... I wasnt expecting it this soon.... I didnt want to look like a heel or anything, so I grabed my assigned give recepiant and headed out after chatting a bit online with a few folks...

I was also hoping to get the realse of the Mega Man X Collection... only to find out that the release got pushed back another month... damnit... ah well, more money to keep....

I didnt really know the person that I was shopping for very well, but on the wishlist I got, the words "Target" and "Hat" were printed on there... so, with having that... got her a hat from target... cant go wrong there, right? I also got her a card as well... And on a whim... I stoped by Best Buy to get the 4th volume of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and the 2nd volume of the Star Wars Clone Wars DVDs....

I got home, talked with dad about what Im doing for christmas, chated a bit with Ashley... walked Ricki Dee on how to actualy use his myspace... and here I am now...

Ah yes, and Im getting addicted to Wikipedia... its such a great resource of both absurd pop-culture trivia as well as factual information about factualy people, places, and things...

lol... I read This Article and just couldnt stop cracking up....

and here I am.... tomarrow, Im going to watch some of the Aqua Teen DVD... finish watching Amelie, write a bit on the movies I watched this past week... and hopefuly get some editing done on my infamous DC Photos... I think I may actualy finish them before the 2 year anniversary
